The Government plans to demolish 250 000 houses in the North of England, and build 1 000 000 new homes in the North and South of England.

The residents in the North, areas which include North East, North West, Yorkshire & Humberside and East Midlands are concerned about being forced from their homes and not being able to re-locate. Also there is the aspect of the heritage in the many magnificent buildings, some hundreds of years old, that are being marked for demolition. Then there are the many social and economic issues to be considered.
The residents in the South are concerned about the destruction of their "Green Space" by the construction of many new homes in their areas. There too will be many social issues to consider. Many people are finding that they are not being properly informed of their rights, and are being kept in the dark with regards to the proposed "plans" for their areas.
